Hello and Welcome! I am so glad that you are here. It takes courage to take the first step towards improving your mental health and wellbeing. My name is Andrea. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Registered Nurse (RN). I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where clients can freely explore their concerns, and I believe in treating the whole client from a biological, psychological, social, and spiritual standpoint. I also believe that the counselor-client relationship is foundational to the counseling process, and I use an integrated approach to counseling, founded upon person-centered theory. I have experience and training in Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and different forms of art therapy. I also have additional training and experience in ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, Written Exposure Therapy (WET), different forms of grief, including disenfranchised grief, shame, counseling for crisis pregnancy, counseling after abortion, Brain Spotting, coaching for clinical mental health, and coaching for military members, military veterans, military families, and first responders. I also have training and experience in neurofeedback and am currently working towards BCN certification through BCIA.

 My background as a nurse also gives me a unique perspective when working with medical professionals and first responders. I also offer a Christ-led approach to counseling for clients of the Christian faith who wish to integrate their faith into counseling. Overall, I tailor counseling to meet the unique goals and needs of each client, as no specific therapy or approach is right for every client.
